Physiotherapy

Following acute injuries like ligament sprains, muscle and tendon strains or ruptures, broken bones and more you usually have associated deficiencies and weaknesses which will need to be alleviated via Physiotherapy management. At Performance Physio you will be given the best treatment and guidance to strengthen, mobilise and retrain the tissues in the best possible way. Chronic injuries like tendinopathy, tendonitis are also quite common and need to treated and managed uniquely to ensure a full recovery.

I have had extensive years’ experience working with sportsmen and sportswomen across a variety of sports. Here at Performance Physio your Running, Riding, Football, Triathlon, Crossfit, weight-lifting and cricket injuries can be treated and a unique rehabilitation plan will be developed for you.

Utilising the gym and weights set up at Performance Physio a technique assessment can be performed, and I’ll guide you on any technique improvements and modifications you may require. I can advise and refer you to other relevant practitioners if other interventions are also needed.

Once you are ready to return to your sport or activity I’m committed to advising and helping you with ongoing management to prevent any future problems or recurrences.

Aches and Pains

Desk and computer related back and neck pain is extremely common and is treatable at Performance Physio. Elbow, wrist, shoulder and knee injuries are also a common problem whether you are sitting at a desk all day or standing behind a counter.

These types of injuries can be acute or often chronic in nature and require the correct treatment to heal them. It is crucial to consider the work environment and habits that may be contributing to the problem and to assess and address these too. This will prevent a recurrence of the problem.
